This
page appeared in the 1962 Rogers catalog. Buddy Rich was
the number one endorser for the Rogers Drum Company. Buddy,
along with Louie Bellson, were the kingpins of the Company.
And, as can been seen, Rogers wasted no time in associating
Buddy with it's then new Swiv-O-Matic hardware line.
It's
interesting to note the list prices of the various drum
kits. 600.00 dollars was a lot of money in 1962.

Rogers drums were the most expensive American drums available
at the time. A comparable Ludwig or Slingerland kit listed
for 200.00 less in their respective catalogs.
Nowadays,
600.00 dollars buys you one of the cheapest Tawainese kits
on the market. On the other hand, some of the more expensive
kits from DW and Sonor list for 5,000.00 to 10,000 dollars!!!
Times
have certainly changed.
